Hi.

My name is Susan and I am a Pilates trainer and dancer located in Dayton Ohio.

I offer in person privates, duets, and small group classes. I also offer coaching services in Fitness, Nutrition, and Pilates career tutelage.

I have my MFA in dance and I use my knowledge gained from my years dancing, studying yoga, Pilates, and bodywork in my classes. (See “The Formal Bio” for all fancy stuff).

Over the past few years my own personal practice has developed more broadly to include training self-myofascial release and functional strength and HIIT workouts. I feel these new layers have changed my students’ strength and mobility, helped them overcome pain, and to feel even more connected to their bodies.

Not only have I witnessed it in my students, but also, I feel it in my own practice. I have dealt with chronic pain my whole life and Pilates was my first big step toward healing. My approach is always Pilates first, but with me expect to learn these things:

self massage and strength work

feel what it’s like to move with heat for feedback

learn killer cues on form that will LEVEL UP the other movement activities you do

I hope you will try my classes out! I know my schedule isn’t as slick as some, I know I am not an IG influencer (but working on it!!!), I don’t have any gimmicks, and I am not trying to sell you anything but the chance to hang out and move with me.

(Full discloser: I might try to sell you some Tune Up Fitness® balls or cute headbands).

I am proud of the abilities I have to help you become stronger and more connected to your alignment, breath, strength, and mobility.

Feel free to connect with me via email or on social media. I mostly hang out on Instagram @presentbodypilates. Sign up for my email list and you will often get some free videos, and ALWAYS a quick and easy, healthy recipe to make at home!

Happy Moving!
